 Dear Sir,                                                                                 

 I am instructed by and act on behalf of (Complainant/Plaintiff Name), S/O- (Father name), of (Address). I have been instructed to serve this Statutory Legal Notice and to inform you as follows:

 

In order to make the repayment of an outstanding debt, you drew the cheque mentioned above in favor of my client (Complainant/Plaintiff Name) Being Cheque No: ------- of (-----Bank Ltd,) Dated- 00/00/20..

 

1. The sum payable under the said cheque is Tk. 0.00 (amount write in word).

 

2. However the cheque was dishonored upon placement at (--------Submited Bank Ltd,) ------------ Branch, with one advice/memorandum, dated 00/00/20--  bearing remark “---cause of dishonour cheque” in your account being account [A/C No- (Cheque owner)]

 

3. These shows that the cheque was issued with a fraudulent intention as you drew the cheque without keeping a necessary fund to honor the cheque.

4. In the premises, you are requested to pay us 0.00 (amount write in word)) within 30 (Thirty) days of starting from Date/month/year or from your receipt of this notice. In the event, there is a failure on your behalf to pay the said amount, I have instructions to take criminal actions against you under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881. It is important to note that if you are convicted in such proceedings you shall be liable to be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year and/or with fine which may extend to thrice the amount of the cheque, or with both.

A copy of the notice is kept in the chamber for future reference.
